Ponies, Costumes and Pumpkins… OH MY!

We’re BACKKK! For those on the East Coast, we hope you fared well during #SuperStormSandy this past week. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who lost power, their homes and businesses (especially in New York City and New Jersey) during this terrible storm. Stay strong and know that this too shall pass!

On Saturday, October 27, 2012, Laurentina Photography participated in the annual “Ponies and Pumpkins” Fall Festival at the Tamarack Stables in Lorton, VA. The stables, tucked in the middle of a windy, tree-lined country road, was the ideal location for this exciting family event. From 2-6PM, many people stopped by the Fall Photo Booth to take photo booth style pictures with the festive backdrop: a large hay bale, hay stack, ears of corn, autumn mums, cornucopia and of  course… pumpkins!  It was so fun seeing the kids (and some adults) dressed up in some very creative costumes, such as my friend Tonya’s son (pictured above) as a darling sweet pea! As promised, photos were printed and assembled in a frame on site and guests had the option of ordering more prints. There were also fun props for people to wear and free Halloween candy for all!

We had a great time meeting new friends, reconnecting with old ones and taking adorable pictures of the families! Every half hour, we would also be graced with the presence of some loving farm animals, such as a goat, ponies and a wild (but sweet) boar! Special thanks to Peter Kledaras of Tamarck Stables for letting us be a vendor, to all the Tamarack Stables staff and volunteers for helping with the photo booth set-up and to my friend Robin, who drove from Hagerstown, MD to help with this event!

If you are interested in ordering additional prints, please contact Laura (Owner/Lead Photographer) at by November 15, 2012 to place your order! You will also receive an additional frame for each 4×6 print you order. Prints make great gifts to bring to the Thanksgiving dinner!

For now, enjoy the variety of photos taken during this unique festival last weekend!!!
