So January is just about over and Laurentina Photography is still on a partial hiatus. The start of 2014 has brought about many new and unexpected changes. Thank you for being patient with us as we work through some website kinks and update our online presence. I am still accepting inquires at this time; however, I won’t be able to honor special requests from past photo sessions *until further notice. Your understanding is greatly appreciated!

What lessons or wisdom has January 2014 imparted on you? For me, it was all about being “interrupted” from photography biz work by snow days, the polar vortex (BRR!), adding on more teaching hours at the school and marathon training. Yup, I am running my first full marathon (all 26.2 miles of it) in March and it’s certainly an endeavor that requires A LOT of hard work (much like studying for an exam). More on that later. If Sara Bareilles claims that “December… you’ve always been a problem child…” then I wonder what she has to say about January?

Because, honestly? You can only do so much.

Many things are not worth stressing about and cannot/should not determine your happiness in life or how you proceed about your day. It’s all about being proactive and taking strides towards greater things to come.

Allora… stay tuned! Check back for new blog posts (hoping to blog at least once a week in February!), features and reviews on the following topics:
